Job Description

• Manage the care of the patient/resident, participating as an integral part of the interdisciplinary team.
• Supervise clinically all assistants and aides in delivering services according to an established plan of care.
• Manage resources to meet the needs of the patient/resident and related customers.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in physical therapy or occupational therapy, or a master's degree in speech-language pathology, or equivalent certification accepted by the designated professional accrediting body.
• Foreign-trained therapists must meet the education standards as defined by the state licensing board in the state they practice in.
• Prefer experience/knowledge managing other rehabilitation personnel.
• Prefer experience/knowledge in long-term care facilities.
• Prefer experience/knowledge managing cost and productivity.
• Prefer outpatient experience/knowledge.
• Knowledge of governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.
• Actively licensed therapist in assigned state(s) of employment as a Speech Language Pathologist, Physical or Occupational Therapist, or related healthcare profession.
