Join our team in Norwich, CT, as a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the General Surgery department at Backus Hospital. This position offers a unique opportunity to be an essential part of a multidisciplinary team that plans and delivers care for a wide variety of surgical patients.

Job Description

• Work in an inpatient setting focused on general surgery.
• Participate in managing surgical inpatients, admissions, consultations, operative first-assist, and bedside procedures.
• Engage with numerous subspecialties including elective and emergency general surgery, trauma, colorectal, bariatrics, vascular, thoracic, and neurosurgery.
• Schedule consists of three 12-13 hour night shifts per week with no call.

Requirements

• Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
• Training: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience: Preferred 2+ years of inpatient surgery experience.

Benefits

• Earn approximately $30,000 in shift differentials on top of base pay annually.
