Physician Endocrinologist

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a full-time BC/BE Endocrinologist.

Job Description

• Join an established group of 3 physicians, 2 diabetes advanced practice clinicians, and 3 diabetes nurse specialists
• Outpatient endocrinology clinic care with shared in-patient call responsibilities
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who have endocrinopathies including disorders of the pituitary, parathyroid, thyroid, adrenals, pancreas, metabolism, and bone disease. Provide appropriate follow-up care of patients (both in-clinic and remote)
• Collaborate with other specialties (such as endocrine surgery, nuclear medicine, nephrology, cardiology, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, among others) in the care of patients with endocrinopathies
• Supervision and teaching of medical residents and students in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Opportunities for supported clinical research and quality improvement work
• Active involvement in division meetings, quality improvement work, and CME (such as Medicine Grand Rounds)
• Salary range: $250,000 - $300,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Bassett offers physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment
• Sign-on bonus up to $100,000
• Group employed model

Requirements

• MD, DO or MBBS
• Board eligible or board certified
• NYS licensure
• BLS certification required
• DEA required
