ED Supervising Nurse

Join our dynamic team at Sussex Campus Hospital as an ED Supervising Nurse. This full-time position offers the opportunity to be a key member of the nursing leadership team, assisting the Senior Nurse Manager with the daily operations of the nursing unit/department.

Job Description

• Performs direct supervision of all nursing team members ensuring leadership presence and visibility on unit(s).
• Coordinates safe, effective, and efficient patient care, including patient flow and resource allocation.
• Demonstrates team building within the ED and with internal and external customers.
• Exhibits knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, and regulations in decision making.
• Exhibits positive interactions to promote a healthy work environment.
• Demonstrates standards of excellence by practicing Bayhealth values in all interactions.
• Demonstrates exemplary documentation of patient care serving as a role model for the same.
• Meets or exceeds established timelines/deadlines.
• All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor Degree in Nursing; must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program/university.
• Credential(s): Registered Nurse; Basic Life Support; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support; Pediatric Advanced Life Support; NIH Stroke Scale Certification; Trauma Nursing Core Course Certification; related certification within 12 months of hire if not already obtained.
• Experience: Three years RN experience in area of related practice.

Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience

• Education: Master Degree in Nursing.
