Nurse Practitioner

Join our team at Kent Campus Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively with physicians to provide comprehensive care to patients.

Job Description

• Works independently and with autonomous collaboration with physician to provide complete physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and episodic disorders.
• Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
• Provides quality care and improves patient outcomes by strengthening continuity of care in all settings for patients, families, and staff in both the hospital and physician practice settings.
• Appropriately prescribes pharmaceuticals according to age, chronic medical conditions, allergies, drug interactions, and duration of therapy.
• Performs routine and specialty physical exams and documents specific age-related preventative health screening.
• Educates and counsels patients to promote wellness and addresses health risk behaviors.
• Interprets diagnostic tests for patients and provides appropriate referrals or consultations.
• Performs technical and surgical procedures for patients as necessary.
• Completes patient discharge planning and education; writes appropriate orders and prescriptions.
• Evaluates patient's progress toward attaining expected outcomes and effectiveness of interventions.
• Upholds the professional code of ethics.
• Keeps all licenses/certifications up to date (including ACLS and PALS, if applicable).
• Performs all other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.

Requirements

• Education: Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner.
• Credential(s): Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner within 3 years; Basic Life Support; Registered Nurse; Nurse Practitioner; Nurse Practitioner - Controlled Substances Registration.
• Experience: No experience necessary; preferred three (3) years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a specific area of practice.

Salary

• Salary range: $132,457.60 yearly.
