Job Description

• Prepare procedure room and patient for all studies, ensuring proper disinfection of equipment after each patient and monitoring patient flow for efficient daily operations.
• Educate patients regarding ordered procedures, obtain patient history and written consent, verify patient information, and check for appropriate ICD-9/10 codes.
• Position patients and select appropriate equipment necessary for procedures, adjusting scan times and pregnancy forms as needed.
• Demonstrate competency on all general diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring quality images for all completed procedures prior to releasing patients.
• Carry out duties related to the quality assurance program as directed by equipment vendors, maintaining competence with HIS, RIS, PHS, and PACS.
• Run a pending work report daily to ensure all exams have been properly charged, tracking PACS and HIS errors closely.
• Maintain adequate supplies, stocking the room at the beginning of each shift and throughout the day to ensure readiness for procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; must be actively enrolled in and have completed at least one year of a formal and accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Credential(s): Registered Technologist in Radiography within one year of hire; Medical Radiologic Technologist; Basic Life Support.
• Experience: Completion of 12 months of combined clinical and didactic training in a Diagnostic Radiology Program is required.

Salary Range

$26.85 - $42.25 hourly
