Part Time Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Opportunity - ABQ (Five Points), NM
MedMark Treatment Center is an innovative physician practice primarily providing advanced withdrawal management services to those addicted to opioids and alcohol. Our unique approach coupled with aftercare and naltrexone/Vivitrol therapy has helped thousands of people free themselves from addiction to opioids, including prescribed narcotics, heroin, fentanyl, Suboxone/Buprenorphine products, and methadone in addition to alcohol. Recovery Services of New Mexico has an opening for our Isleta location. We are searching for a dynamic and experienced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
Job Description
- Provides health care services to patients under the direction and responsibility of a physician.
- Examines patients and performs comprehensive physical examinations. Compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examinations. Refers to physician as needed.
- Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviation from normal.
- Prescribes medications following strict protocols established by contractual agreements.
- Confers with patient's private physician(s) as needed.
- Counsels patients and helps them understand their limitations and abilities.
- Acts as a resource person for decisions, planning, and policies affecting the health of patients and staff.
- Serves as a clinic in-service resource.
- Oversees the continuum of care process for their patients.
- Provides patient education specific to various disease processes.
- Maintains patient, employee, and computer confidentiality.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.
- Must be currently licensed in the state of employment/practice.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
