Job Description:
- Provide strategic leadership and clinical expertise for the Kidney Transplant Program.
- Oversee the transplant program, including patient care, staff management, and program development.
- Lead, mentor, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Position Highlights:
- Clinical Leadership: Provide medical oversight of the transplant program and ensure immediate availability of services when an organ is offered for transplantation.
- Program Oversight: Represent Baystate in outreach and program development to increase the number of transplant candidates.
- Strategic Development: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the transplant program, including quality improvement initiatives and service expansion.
- Research and Education: Engage in clinical research related to kidney transplantation and contribute to the training of Nephrology fellows in Transplant Nephrology.
- Patient Care: Provide clinical care to renal transplant patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Qualifications:
- Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification: Board-certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in kidney transplantation. Transplant Nephrology Fellowship required. Leadership experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to Excellence: Demonstrated commitment to advancing patient care, quality improvement, and clinical research in transplantation.
