RN - Behavioral Hospital

Location: Westbank, Louisiana

Job Description:

• Provide high-quality care to patients in a behavioral hospital setting
• Assess patient health problems and needs
• Develop and implement nursing care plans
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families

Requirements:

• Active RN license in the state of Louisiana
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in behavioral health nursing
• Certification in psychiatric nursing
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Skills:

• Utilize clinical skills to assess and treat patients with mental health disorders
• Employ critical thinking and problem-solving skills in care plan development
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain attention to detail for high-quality patient care
