    Radiologic Technologist

    Job Description:

    • Performs radiographic and computerized axial tomography procedures in accordance with established professional and departmental standards and procedures.
    • Performs all CT Scan procedures according to established protocols and evaluates scans for technical quality.
    • Demonstrates anatomy under investigation and performs all radiographic procedures including portable examinations.
    • Prepares and administers contrast media, evaluates lab values as required, and is competent in aseptic technique.
    • Demonstrates a complete working knowledge of all radiographic and CT equipment within the department.
    • Completes and assesses QC procedures per equipment requirements and communicates problems by initiating machine service when needed.
    • Uses radiation safety and reduction techniques to minimize radiation exposures.
    • Correctly identifies patients using two forms of identification and verifies images are successfully transferred to PACS.
    • Recognizes emergency situations, initiates code procedures, and completes follow-up documentation.
    • Supports department success through inventory management and ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards.

    Requirements:

    • ARRT - CT - Computed Tomography certification
    • BLS - Basic Life Saving certification
    • ARRT - RT(R)
    • Associates Degree in a related field
    • Graduate of an AMA School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 1 year in radiography
    • Registered in both Radiography and Computed Tomography
    • Two or more years of radiography experience preferred
    • One or more years of CAT Scan experience preferred

    • Clear communication skills both written and verbal
    • Ability to keep confidential information regarding patients and team members
    • Skills to provide customer service to patients, team members, and visitors
    • Knowledge and experience with electronic health records

    Compensation:

    • Entry: USD $31.83/Hr.
    • Expert: USD $49.34/Hr.
