Job Description:
- Assist the Director/Manager in technical management, ensuring day-to-day operations of the area.
- Serve as a resource person for team members.
- Ensure compliance with policies/procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for technical performance within the pathology laboratory.
- Perform routine and complex analyses in assigned areas.
- Recognize, troubleshoot, and initiate corrective action for problems.
- Act in the best interest of patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize workflow to maximize productivity while maintaining quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and monitor process improvements, taking action where appropriate.
- Ensure team members maintain departmental policies/procedures and adhere to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Support department by monitoring regulatory/accreditation compliance.
- Train new and current team members and students.
- Provide feedback to leadership about team members' performance.
- Participate in the interview process and provide feedback on candidates.
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years in a related field.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstration of creativity, initiative, and problem-solving.
- ASCP-MT or MLT or equivalent preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Clear communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to keep confidential information regarding patients and team members.
- Ability to withstand crisis situations.
- Skills to provide customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
- Knowledge and experience with electronic health records.
Education:
- Associate's degree in a related field.

Compensation:
- Entry: USD $31.83/Hr.
- Expert: USD $49.34/Hr.
