Job Description:
- Perform diagnostic procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established professional and departmental standards and procedures.
- Review consultation requests, checking for special instructions from requesting physicians and consult with the Radiologist as necessary.
- Complete all departmental processes for resulting and documentation of exams.
- Pleasantly greet patients, confirming their identification and introducing yourself.
- Completely explain examination procedures to the patient and their family if present.
- Demonstrate a complete working knowledge of all equipment located within the Nuclear Medicine department.
- Prepare, calibrate, document accurately, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for administration by injection, ingestion, and inhalation methods.
- Perform in vivo and in vitro diagnostic Nuclear Medicine procedures according to established protocols.
- Maintain a daily activities log.
- Ensure appropriate storage and ordering of supplies for the Nuclear Medicine area.
- Monitor and report supplies in shortage and special order items.
- Perform visual preventive safety inspections and conduct daily quality assurance tests on all equipment.
- Identify any problems and communicate them to the immediate supervisor.
- Evaluate recorded images for technical quality and demonstrate anatomy under investigation through proper positioning.
- Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards and effectively operate radiation detection equipment.
- Recognize emergency situations, initiate code procedures, and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
- Assure access to care by adding on exams whenever possible, coordinating efforts with other departments, and seeking alternatives when requested add-on is not possible.
- Verify correct order entry and supply charging.
Requirements:
- One year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.
- BLS - Basic Life Saving certification.
- ARRT-N or CNMT Nuclear Medicine Technology certification.
- Associates Degree in a related field.
- Must complete Point of Care Testing training as part of Department Orientation.
- Ability to lift patients up to 50 lbs.

- Has skills to provide customer service to patients, team members, and visitors.
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Health Records.

Salary Range:
- Entry: USD $33.12/Hr.
- Expert: USD $51.34/Hr.
