School Based Therapist

Licensed School Based Clinician (LSW or LPC)

Job Description:

• Provide diagnostic assessments, treatment plans and reviews, individual and group counseling, family therapy, CPS, prevention, consultation, and discharge reports and plans
• Contact and meet with parents of children referred for mental health services for intake, consent to treat, and assessment
• Deliver professional clinical services including biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, individual and group counseling, family therapy, CPST, TBS, prevention, consultation, and aftercare planning
• Consult with school staff regarding treatment planning and progress; provide mental health training to teachers and personnel
• Meet with parents of clients for ongoing training and service coordination, including home and community visits

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling
• Valid Ohio LSW or LPC
• Knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, family therapy, group therapy, child psychotherapy, DSM-V diagnoses, and behavioral therapy
• Sensitivity in relating to diverse backgrounds and ability to work with various strengths and abilities
• High degree of initiative, independent judgment, and effective communication skills
• Practical and creative problem-solving skills
