Weekend Nursing Supervisor (RN Registered Nurse or LPN Licensed Practical Nurse)

Job Description:

• Provide direct nursing care to the residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants
• Ensure supervision is in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines, and regulations
• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications and report adverse reactions
• Educate patients on surgical procedures
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret and record electronic displays
• Initiate corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs
• Participate in discharge planning
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner

Requirements:

• First aid and CPR certification
• Current RN (Registered Nurse) or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in current state
• Exceptional staff training and customer service skills
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor
