    Location: Waltham, with training in Boston

    We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our team and help expand our pediatric pelvic floor program. Be a part of our inter-disciplinary team and provide high-quality, outpatient rehabilitation for our pediatric patients. In this position, you will work in the outpatient department treating clients of all genders with Pelvic Health issues including pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, and incontinence, as well as developmental, orthopedic, and neurological conditions as needed. Primary location will be at our Waltham, with initial training at the Boston location. This position will include regular Saturday coverage after completion of the orientation period.

    Job Description:

    • Complete comprehensive physical therapy assessment in alignment with department standards and guidelines for pediatric patients.
    • Perform pelvic floor muscle assessment and treatment for patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. Establish plan of care to achieve established goals relative to age, medical history, and dysfunction.
    • Work closely with a team of providers to provide integrated care and follow-up.
    • Demonstrate professional competence and clinical reasoning in assessing patient's condition at the onset and through all phases of skilled physical therapy.
    • Perform diagnostic evaluations upon referral by physician. Verify appropriateness of referral, contacting physician as necessary.
    • Develop and implement individualized patient treatment programs. Establish treatment goals, and prescribe and administer appropriate physical therapy procedures.
    • Prepare discharge plans and home treatment programs and provide instruction and education to patients and families. Monitor treatment outcomes, modify program as needed and communicate recommendations to physicians and other providers.
    • Record assessments, diagnoses, and treatment in patient medical record according to established documentation standards. Prepare reports, correspondence, referrals, and other materials for schools, providers, payors, and others as needed. Assign standardized billing codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.
    • Contribute to teamwork.

    Requirements:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
    • Current MA licensure as a Physical Therapist by the state board of registration of allied health professions.
    • 3 years minimum pediatric PT experience required.
    • Adult or Pediatric Pelvic floor experience preferred. Additional training and mentorship will be provided.
    • APTA CAPP-Pelvic certification or equivalent advanced training/certification for pelvic floor PT is desired, but not required to be hired. Boston Children's Hospital will pay for CAPP-Pelvic certification, if hired.
    • Excellent Analytical and Communication skills.
