    Job Title: Pediatric Hospital Physician

    Location: Boston, Massachusetts

    Job Description:

    • Work within Boston Children's Hospital Pediatric Medical-Surgical and Cardiac Intensive Care Units (MSICU and CICU), as well as the Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU).
    • Practice under the supervision and direction of ICU or ACCU attending physicians.
    • Ideal for new pediatric residency graduates preparing for cardiology or critical care fellowships or other careers in pediatric acute care.
    • Gain expertise in the pathophysiology and management of complex, high-acuity patients.
    • Standard work shifts will be 50% daytime and 50% overnight; 100% overnight shifts supported for those who prefer.

    Responsibilities:

    • Serve as a primary/front-line clinician on day and night shifts in the ICU or ACU.
    • Evaluate and manage acute and critical illness, including airway management, vascular access, and resuscitation.
    • Participate in unit-based teaching conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities.
    • Other duties as assigned within the physician's scope of practice.

    Requirements:

    • Board-certified or Board-eligible pediatrician.
    • License to practice medicine in Massachusetts.
    • Core knowledge in pediatrics.
    • Proficiency in bedside pediatric diagnostic examination and assessment.
    • Pediatric advanced life support skills, including basic airway maneuvers and use of a cardiac defibrillator.

    Professional Development:

    • Participate in unit-based teaching conferences and research activities.
