Certified Surgical Technician

Join our dynamic team as a Certified Surgical Technician in the Operating Room (Inpatient Surgery). This position offers a schedule of 36 hours, evenings, every third weekend, and requires call.

Job Description

• Provide patient care during surgical procedures by ensuring an aseptic and safe environment.
• Prepare and sterilize rooms, transport patients, pass instruments, and assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff during surgery.
• Use technical and aseptic techniques to ensure compliance with established sterile standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited/approved program in surgical technology or have completed an Armed Forces medic or corpsmen program.
• Surgical Technician certification required (unless employed as a surgical technologist in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013).
• Previous surgical tech experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to accurately interpret and use medical terminology and abbreviations.
• Computer proficiency to access and enter computerized data/information.
• Effective interpersonal skills to interact appropriately with patients, families, physicians, and other hospital staff.
• Organizational skills to effectively set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work.

Benefits

• $10,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with over 1 year of multi-specialty experience, paid out after successfully completing 6 months of employment.
• $5,000 sign-on bonus for candidates with less than 1 year or single specialty experience, paid out after successfully completing 6 months of employment.
