Mammography Technologist

Under the general supervision of the Manager of Breast Imaging, the Mammography Technologist provides mammographic technical skills to the department mission. Duties include working as a technologist and performing tasks in other areas and/or modalities as necessary. The Mammography Technologist performs mammography exams for the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury to patients of all ages.

Job Description

• Provide mammographic technical skills to support the department's mission.
• Perform mammography exams for diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury.
• Work in other areas and/or modalities as necessary.

Requirements

• Generally acquired through the completion of two years post-high school training in an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• MSRT/ARRT (M) required.
• State Radiology/mammography license required and all applicable Radiology/mammography education requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and instruct students.
• Knowledge of principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography, as well as the operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment, including mammography.
