Registered Nurse - Endoscopy
Boulder Community Health is seeking an RN - Endo who coordinates total nursing care for the Endoscopy and Peri-operative procedure patient.
Job Description
- Provides safe, competent, effective nursing care in accordance with hospital, Pre/Post/PACU's standards of care, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of care of the peri-operative/procedure patient.
- Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition. Reports pertinent observations or changes to appropriate physicians and/or clinical lead and implements emergency procedures as necessary.
- Demonstrates knowledge of arrhythmia recognition and treatment modalities.
- Administers medications and performs treatments as ordered.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation.
- Ability to assess, treat, and/or care for patients with regard to age. Endoscopy treats adolescent to geriatric.
- Actively seeks the participation of members of the health care team and patient's family to ensure continuity of care.
- Prepares specimens and lab forms for laboratory analysis.
Requirements
- Colorado RN license in good standing
- RN Endoscopy experience required
- BLS required by end of conditional period
- ACLS certification required within conditional period
- Member of professional organization encouraged
- Certification encouraged
