Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Boulder Community Health is seeking an RN - Endo who coordinates total nursing care for the Endoscopy and Peri-operative procedure patient.

Job Description

• Provides safe, competent, effective nursing care in accordance with hospital, Pre/Post/PACU's standards of care, policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of care of the peri-operative/procedure patient.
• Assesses patient status systematically and anticipates and responds to changes in patient clinical condition. Reports pertinent observations or changes to appropriate physicians and/or clinical lead and implements emergency procedures as necessary.
• Demonstrates knowledge of arrhythmia recognition and treatment modalities.
• Administers medications and performs treatments as ordered.
• Maintains complete and accurate documentation.
• Ability to assess, treat, and/or care for patients with regard to age. Endoscopy treats adolescent to geriatric.
• Actively seeks the participation of members of the health care team and patient's family to ensure continuity of care.
• Prepares specimens and lab forms for laboratory analysis.

Requirements

• Colorado RN license in good standing
• RN Endoscopy experience required
• BLS required by end of conditional period
• ACLS certification required within conditional period
• Member of professional organization encouraged
• Certification encouraged
