Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

• Perform hearing and/or speech and language examinations.
• Evaluate hearing and/or speech and language test results.
• Evaluate barium swallow, other test results, and overall medical background.
• Diagnose patients and formulate treatment plans.
• Educate patients and family members about various communication methods to cope with impairment.
• Write reports and maintain client information.
• Perform administrative responsibilities: coordinate paperwork, write lesson plans, schedule case management activities, and perform record-keeping for administrative, billing, and caseload purposes.
• Develop individual and/or group activities and/or programs.
• Participate in the planning and implementing of individualized educational planning (IEP) meetings, in-service meetings, or intervention assistance team meetings.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program.
• 3 - 5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active Michigan Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
