Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description
- Perform hearing and/or speech and language examinations.
- Evaluate hearing and/or speech and language test results.
- Evaluate barium swallow, other test results, and overall medical background.
- Diagnose patients and formulate treatment plans.
- Educate patients and family members about various communication methods to cope with impairment.
- Write reports and maintain client information.
- Perform administrative responsibilities: coordinate paperwork, write lesson plans, schedule case management activities, and perform record-keeping for administrative, billing, and caseload purposes.
- Develop individual and/or group activities and/or programs.
- Participate in the planning and implementing of individualized educational planning (IEP) meetings, in-service meetings, or intervention assistance team meetings.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program.
- 3 - 5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Active Michigan Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
