    Job Description:

    • Join practice as a primary care provider and APP Trainer
    • Work in a hybrid role including training newly hired Advanced Practice Providers and providing medical services for patients
    • Member of the clinical practice team, working collaboratively with other team members in providing patient care
    • Full-time role including 20 hours of direct patient care and 20 hours of APP support, training, education, and professional development

    Training Responsibilities:

    • Supervise, train, and evaluate new Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
    • Perform chart reviews based on an established schedule
    • Coordinate MAVEN services
    • Coordinate CME educational sessions with site medical directors
    • Meet with APP assigned MAVEN mentor after new APP's 3rd month of employment
    • Observe and shadow APP
    • Evaluate APP based on competencies such as history taking, physical exam skills, analyzing data, management/plan formation, procedures, problem solving hazards and biases, medical practice and principles
    • Provide constructive feedback to APP for the course of two years and possibly longer
    • Support organizational compliance and training requirements
    • Participate in Administrative Projects as assigned by the Medical Director

    Clinical Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct medical care for four sessions per week
    • Complete clinical administrative work four hours per week
    • Adhere to established protocols, respond to medical emergencies within the facility assigned
    • Assist/instruct other health care employees in the management of client care
    • Make referrals to health care professionals, specialists, other clinics, and community agencies
