    Job Description:

    • Performs diagnostic x-ray procedures under the supervision of a qualified physician
    • Practices a variety of x-ray techniques: radiography, fluoroscopy, portable diagnostic, and portable fluoroscopy
    • Utilizes sterile techniques as required

    Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrates patient anatomy through proper positioning and selection of technical factors
    • Performs venipunctures and operates all diagnostic x-ray equipment and support systems
    • Utilizes department computer systems to review patient history and document studies accurately
    • Maintains patient confidentiality and coordinates exams within the department
    • Handles scheduling and coordination calls with courtesy and accuracy
    • Participates in the department's quality improvement plan
    • Cleans, disinfects, and maintains equipment; reports equipment problems
    • Operates various c-arms and o-arms to support high-volume surgical cases

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology with certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
    • Valid State of Nebraska Medical Radiographer license
    • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required

    Physical Requirements:

    • Medium work requiring exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects

    Professional Development:

    • Assists with departmental orientation and student clinical education as directed
