Join our team as a day shift, full-time Surgery Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) in Amarillo, TX. You may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $8,000. You may also be eligible for relocation assistance.

Job Description

• Surgical First Assistants assist physicians in surgery and may perform a specific surgical task under professional supervision.
• Surgical tasks include but are not limited to: opening and closing surgical sites, exposure of the surgical site, harvesting grafts, dissecting tissue, removing tissue, implanting devices, and altering tissues.
• Perform CST role when not utilized in the First Assistant role.

Requirements

• Current Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), or eligible for Certification.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification.
• Must be eligible for credentialing through Medical Staff.
• Previous CST experience preferred (two years).
• Previous CST-FA experience preferred (a minimum of 2 years in Cardio-Vascular).
• Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist School.
• Current CST certification.
• New employees who have completed and can document first assistant training or have maintained a current national First Assistant (FA) certification may work as a ST/FA following BSA policies and protocols.
