    Lung Nodule Navigator

    Join our team at CHA Cambridge Hospital as a Lung Nodule Navigator. This full-time position supports the management and follow-up of patients with pulmonary nodules found on chest imaging in conjunction with pulmonary, radiology, and primary care providers.

    Job Description

    • Maintain a database of patients with lung nodules.
    • Update the electronic medical record with data pertinent to lung nodule findings, including the Problem List and Health Maintenance.
    • Conduct outreach and notification by mail and phone calls of patients found to have a lung nodule who do not have a primary care provider at CHA.
    • Maintain the QI reporting system to determine if repeat scans are being completed promptly based on guidelines.
    • Follow up on systems and processes for patients with incidental findings to ensure that the repeat scans follow the appropriate national guidelines.
    • Chair meetings with the Pulmonary Department to review cases and ensure timely follow-up and management of patients with high-risk pulmonary nodules.
    • Manage the Thoracic Tumor Board Meeting, including creating agendas for the monthly meetings, sending reminders for cases, and keeping close watch on attendings for CME credit purposes.
    • In collaboration with HMS, update the database every six months to give CME credits to the providers who attend.
    • Oversee the productivity and quality of work of other navigators involved in the program.

    Requirements

    • High school diploma required; advanced degree preferred.
    • Clinical background preferred.
    • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office/Google applications, are essential for managing an extensive database.
    • Excellent EPIC systems skills.
