    Location: Mesa, Arizona

    Job Description:

    • Work under the direction of a qualified professional nurse
    • Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care within department standards and licensing board parameters
    • Communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including medical staff, administration, clinicians, dietitians, and milieu personnel
    • Ensure high client safety standards and maintain a therapeutic environment

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of clients under supervision
    • Assist in health and psychiatric teaching for clients and families
    • Share responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care plans
    • Communicate effectively with medical staff and participate in team conferences
    • Prepare, administer, control, and accurately record medications as per policy
    • Document and report clinical and physical status changes to R.N. in charge
    • Perform vital signs, electrocardiograms, phlebotomy/labs, and glucose monitoring safely and accurately

    Education/Experience:

    • Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical/Vocational Nursing Program required
    • One or more years' nursing experience within clinical area preferred
    • Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication administration
    • Ability to apply nursing standards within a recovery setting
    • Valid current practical/vocational nursing license required
    • CPR and de-escalation certification required (training available upon hire)
