Licensed Practical Nurse

Care Plus TLC is searching for qualified Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team! Multiple 12-hour shifts are available, and positions pay $34.00 per hour, working up to 36 hours per week. Shift times are 8 am to 8 pm. We are searching for dedicated nurses to care for one client in their home in Cedar Springs, MI.

Job Description

• Take and record vital signs including fluid intake and output
• Monitor patient's condition and report changes/concerns to appropriate medical professionals and family members
• Provide Activities of Daily Living care as outlined in the Care Plan—bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Administer prescribed medications including injections, enemas/suppositories, etc., as ordered by Physician
• Provide trach and vent care
• Provide feeding tube care and wound care
• No transfers required
• Reposition and turn client in bed
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Understand First Aid and Emergency Care protocols
• Complete electronic documentation while on shift

Requirements

• Successful completion of LPN license program is a must
• 1 year experience as LPN
• Familiarity with home health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of confidentiality and privacy laws and nursing best practices
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work as a team
• Ability to learn electronic verification charting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to handle tough situations if needed
• Trach and vent care experience is a must
