Private Duty Nursing LPN/RN- Full-time/Part Time or PRN-$34-$42/hour-Big Rapids area

Licensed Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse

Care Plus TLC is searching for Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses to join our team! This position is for you if you have a valid LPN/RN license in the state of Michigan, live in the Big Rapids or surrounding area, and are looking to pick up day or evening shifts! Starting wage for LPNs is $34.00/hour and for RNs is $42.00/hour with WEEKLY pay. We currently have part-time to full-time shifts available.

Job Description

• Take and record vital signs including fluid intake and output
• Monitor patient's condition and report changes/concerns to appropriate medical professionals and family members
• Provide Activities of Daily Living care as outlined in the Care Plan, including bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Administer prescribed medications including injections, enemas/suppositories, etc. as ordered by the physician
• Provide feeding tube, trach and vent care, and catheter care
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Understand First Aid and Emergency Care protocols
• Complete electronic documentation while on shift

Requirements

• 1 year experience as a nurse
• Familiarity with home health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures
• Understanding of nursing best practices
• Understanding of confidentiality and privacy laws
• Ability to learn electronic verification charting software
• Ability to turn and reposition patients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and able to handle tough situations as needed
• Successful completion of LPN or RN license program is a must
