Licensed Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse

Care Plus TLC is searching for Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses to join our team! If you have a valid LPN/RN license in the state of Michigan, live in the Muskegon area or surrounding area, and want to provide quality care to a person in need, this position is for you!

Job Description

• Day shifts are 12 hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Starting wage for LPNs is $34.00/hour and for RNs is $42.00/hour with weekly pay.
• We currently have part-time to full-time shifts available.
• Take and record vital signs.
• Monitor patient's condition and report changes/concerns to appropriate medical professionals and family members.
• Provide Activities of Daily Living care as outlined in the Care Plan—bathing, dressing, feeding, etc. with the assistance of a HHA/CNA.
• Administer prescribed medications including injections, enemas/suppositories, etc. as ordered by the physician.
• Provide feeding tube care.
• Provide trach and vent care.
• Provide nephrostomy care.
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed.
• Understand First Aid and Emergency Care protocols.
• Complete electronic documentation while on shift.

Requirements

• 1 year experience as a nurse.
• Familiarity with home health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures.
• Understanding of nursing best practices.
• Understanding of confidentiality and privacy laws.
• Ability to learn electronic verification charting software.
• Ability to turn and reposition patients with the assistance of a CNA.
• Trach/vent care experience is a must.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and able to handle tough situations as needed.
• Successful completion of LPN or RN license program is a must.
