Job Description
- Performs comprehensive wound assessments, including wound etiology, staging, measurements, and documentation.
- Develops and implements individualized wound care treatment plans using evidence-based practice.
- Provides advanced wound care interventions such as specialty dressings, wound vac/negative pressure therapy, and debridement as allowed by scope of practice.
- Collaborates with physicians, bedside nursing, nutrition, therapy, and case management to support optimal wound healing.
- Leads pressure injury prevention initiatives, completes audits, and supports facility quality goals related to wound care.
- Provides ongoing wound care training, education, and clinical support to nursing staff.
- Ensures compliance with infection prevention standards and regulatory documentation requirements.
- Monitors patient progress, adjusts treatment plans, and participates in interdisciplinary rounds.
- Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
- Other duties as requested.

Requirements
- Applicants should have a current North Carolina state or compact state RN license.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
