    Job Description:

    • The Emergency Department at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters is part of the region's only free-standing pediatric hospital and only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center.
    • The emergency department cares for children presenting after trauma, with medical emergencies, acute and chronic illness.
    • A dedicated team of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses, and emergency technicians care for over 50,000 children per year.
    • The Division of Emergency Medicine is recruiting a pediatric provider to join a dynamic team of providers for a long-term commitment.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the assessment and care of patients presenting with acute illness, asthma exacerbation, mild dehydration, and orthopedic injuries.
    • Demonstrate competency in incision and drainage; foreign body removal ear, nose, skin; repair of scalp and simple skin laceration upon completion of orientation.
    • Possess a strong work ethic and enjoy working with team members to deliver efficient quality patient care.
