Registered Nurse (RN) - 5B Medical Telemetry

ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, DE is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our 5B Medical Telemetry Unit. The RN will be responsible for providing direct patient care, administering medications, collaborating with healthcare team members, evaluating patient conditions, and ensuring patient safety and well-being.

Job Description

• Provide direct patient care in a 40-bed medical unit with semi-private and private rooms.
• Administer scheduled and emergent care/procedures on a 24-hour basis.
• Accommodate patients needing inpatient care for various treatments and diagnoses, including COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, ETOH withdrawal, opioid withdrawal, nausea/vomiting/abdominal pain, altered mental status, osteomyelitis, back pain, diabetes management, and cellulitis.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with fair to serious conditions received from home, the emergency department, physician's offices, and other hospital units.

Requirements

• Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware.
• BSN or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of hire date.
• At least one year of experience as an RN.
• RN with experience in inpatient acute care is preferred.
• BLS required.

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
