Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Description:

• Plan, implement, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate patient care activities.
• Collaborate with other Clinical Associates to meet individual needs using communication and available resources to promote quality, cost-effective care.
• Report directly to the department manager and/or designee with clinical supervision provided by a licensed occupational therapist.
• Responsible for utilization and supervision of volunteers, students, and support staff relating to the provision of occupational therapy services.
• Interpret and implement physician orders, provide safe care to customers, protect confidential information, engage in professional communication, use time and resources economically, and create a positive work/therapy environment.
• Be knowledgeable of the principles and practice of occupational therapy.
• Perform the technical skills of the certified occupational therapy assistant and be competent to operate the equipment utilized in the professional area.
• Write and speak in a professional and intelligent manner and demonstrate supervision/management skills.
• Willing to assume additional responsibilities as requested.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree
• OTA License in state of employment
• BLS
