    Job Description:

    • Work independently, performing complex and specialized MRI procedures
    • Use a wide variety of imaging equipment and computers
    • Provide basic MRI screening of patients and employees
    • Prepare maintenance and repairs for MRI equipment
    • Participate in quality assurance and resolve MRI safety issues
    • Make quick, technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology
    • Engage in ongoing MR education, safety, protocol development, and technical advances

    Responsibilities:

    • Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies
    • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, some complex, using MRI diagnostic imaging equipment
    • Demonstrate competency in MRI exams, procedures, and pressurized injection equipment
    • Assist Radiologist in invasive and biopsy procedures using MRI equipment
    • Program computer post-procedure to ensure scan data is stored on PACS
    • Coordinate and prioritize procedures for optimal patient care and continuity
    • Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system
    • Demonstrate competence with all age-specific groups
    • Adapt patient assessment and care methods to accommodate unique patient needs
    • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards
    • Protect patient confidentiality and information
    • Basic computer knowledge required
    • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
    • Provide excellent customer service
    • Demonstrate adherence to the Core values of Christus Health
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences or equivalent
    • 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
    • 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting is highly preferred
    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) from ARRT or ARMRIT preferred
    • Current state licensure required
    • BLS required
