    Job Description:

    • Perform various services and related activities in support of patient care including accurate data entry for patient registration and insurance verification.
    • Demonstrate the ability to use good judgment and communicate effectively with all patients, families, licensed personnel, insurance companies, and third-party payers.
    • Exhibit a professional and caring manner.

    Responsibilities:

    • Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
    • Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in providing superior medical care.
    • Ensure accurate data entry of charges on patient accounts, register patients, and update patient accounts.
    • Perform insurance verification and record statistics.
    • Assist with scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, keeping providers informed of changes, and informing patients of their benefits.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Education/Skills: High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
    • Experience: 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
    • Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification in the state of employment is required. BLS required.

    Work Schedule:
