Job Description:
- Perform various services and related activities in support of patient care, including accurate data entry for patient registration and insurance verification.
- Demonstrate the ability to use good judgment and communicate effectively with all patients, families, licensed personnel, insurance companies, and third-party payers.
- Exhibit a professional and caring manner.
Responsibilities:
- Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in providing superior medical care.
- Ensure accurate data entry of charges on patient accounts, register patients, and update patient accounts.
- Verify insurance and record statistics.
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, keeping providers informed of changes, and informing patients of their benefits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred.
- 1 year of medical office experience preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification in the state of employment is required.
- BLS required.
Work Schedule:
- 8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday
