    Job Description:

    • Perform complex and specialized MRI procedures independently
    • Utilize a wide variety of imaging equipment and computers
    • Provide basic MRI screening of patients and employees
    • Prepare maintenance and repairs, participate in QA, and resolve MRI safety issues
    • Make quick and technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology
    • Engage in ongoing MR education, safety, protocol development, quality assurance, and technical advances
    • Align behavior and communication skills with the organization's mission, values, and culture

    Responsibilities:

    • Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies
    • Perform diagnostic procedures using state-of-the-art computerized MRI equipment
    • Demonstrate competency with MRI exams, procedures, and pressurized injection equipment
    • Assist Radiologist in invasive and biopsy procedures using MRI equipment
    • Program the computer for exam completion and ensure scan data is correctly stored on PACS
    • Coordinate and prioritize procedures to maintain a high level of patient care
    • Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system
    • Demonstrate and maintain competence with all age-specific groups
    • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique needs
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and standards
    • Protect the confidentiality of patients
    • Exhibit basic computer knowledge and effective communication skills
    • Provide excellent customer service

    • Perform other assigned duties

    Requirements:

    • Education/Skills:

      • Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences or equivalent required
    • Experience:

      • 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
      • 3 years of experience in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred
    • Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

      • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) from ARRT or ARMRIT preferred
      • Current state licensure required
      • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
