    Location: San Marcos, Texas

    Job Description:

    • Work independently, performing complex and specialized MRI procedures
    • Utilize a wide variety of imaging equipment and computers
    • Provide basic MRI screening of patients and employees
    • Prepare maintenance and repairs, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to MRI safety
    • Make quick and highly technical decisions to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology
    • Participate in ongoing MR education, safety, protocol development, quality assurance, and technical advances

    Responsibilities:

    • Meet expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies
    • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex MRI exams
    • Assist Radiologist in invasive and biopsy procedures using MRI equipment
    • Ensure exam data is correctly stored on PACS
    • Coordinate and prioritize procedures to maintain patient care and continuity
    • Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system
    • Adapt patient assessment and care methods to meet unique needs
    • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards
    • Protect patient confidentiality
    • Demonstrate adherence to the Core values of Christus Health

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent
    • ARRT, RT (R), or other qualified Registries per scope of practice
    • Registered or Registry-eligible in secondary modality
    • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
    • Three (3) years' experience in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred
    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
    • Current state licensure required
    • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
