Physical Therapist

Welcome to Christus Health! We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist in the area to pick up PRN hours at our Trinity Mother Frances Hospital and Outpatient Clinic. Coverage for this position would involve Outpatient, Inpatient, and Rehab/Swing bed. Coverage needed could be as much as 40 hours per week to cover vacation time for full-time associates. This position does include a PRN rate of $65 per hour.

Job Description:

• Responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, evaluating, and implementing care for the patients assigned to physical therapy.
• Adhere to all standards of the Physical Therapy Practice Act as they apply to providing technical therapy care, supplies, equipment, and interventions to a designated patient population.

Responsibilities:

• Gather pertinent data from chart and other caregivers; discuss with physician as necessary.
• Independently assess all patient types as assigned.
• Demonstrate ability to recognize additional needs during evaluation; exercise good judgment in decision making when requesting, scheduling and/or performing additional testing.
• Interpret results and formulate relevant, measurable, realistic, and attainable goals.
• Reassess patient progress regularly per department and regulatory policy or when need arises.
• Identify appropriate equipment, discuss with patient and family and make recommendations.

Requirements:

• LPT License in state of employment.
• BLS certification.

Work Schedule:

• Day shift.
• Weekdays and weekends.
• Up to 40 hours per week depending on coverage needed.

Pay:

• $65 per hour.

Work Type:

• Per Diem As Needed.
