    Technologist - Imaging Department

    Location: San Marcos, Texas

    Job Description:

    • Operate competently in two or more modalities within an Imaging department, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Specials, Nuclear Medicine, PACS, and Mammography
    • Perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment
    • Responsible for designated areas or procedures as required
    • Work at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos, a Certified Chest Pain Center and accredited Primary Stroke Center, known for quality services and specialty care

    Responsibilities:

    • Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies
    • Demonstrate competency in a variety of diagnostic procedures in more than one modality
    • Program the computer post-procedure to ensure exam completion and data storage
    • Coordinate and prioritize procedures to maintain a high level of patient care
    • Ensure correct coding and entry of charges in the billing system
    • Demonstrate competence with all age-specific groups
    • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards
    • Protect the confidentiality of patients and adhere to Core values of CHRISTUS Health
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    A. Education/Skills

    • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent
    • ARRT, RT (R), or other qualified Registries per scope of practice
    • Must be Registered or Registry-eligible in secondary modality

    B. Experience

    • Minimum of one year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
    • Three years of experience in a clinical imaging setting highly preferred

    C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
    • Current state licensure required
    • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
