Job Description:
- Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
- Provide support for other imaging technologists as needed.
- May be assigned to work in a variety of locations.
- Troubleshoot basic maintenance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.

Responsibilities:
- Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex ones, using proper technique and providing appropriate procedural instructions to the patient.
- Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and possible contraindications.
- Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Interact appropriately with patients and all care providers, coordinating and prioritizing procedures to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
- Rotate within departments and clinics for proper coverage.
- Assist Radiologist or other medical professionals in invasive and fluoroscopic procedures using equipment to pinpoint anatomical locations.
- Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked before exams, complying with Infection Control standards.
- Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered.
- Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.
- Protect patient confidentiality and do not disclose any confidential information unless necessary for assigned job duties.
- Demonstrate adherence to the Core values of CHRISTUS Health Care.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of experience in a hospital preferred.
- Current registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
- Current state licensure required.
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
