    Job Description:

    • Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures.
    • Provide support for other imaging technologists as needed.
    • Troubleshoot basic maintenance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system.
    • Participate in QA and maintain behavior and communication skills in alignment with the organization's mission, values, and culture.

    Responsibilities:

    • Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
    • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex ones, using proper technique and providing appropriate procedural instructions to patients.
    • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and possible contraindications.
    • Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
    • Interact appropriately with patients and care providers, coordinating and prioritizing procedures to maintain high levels of patient care and continuity.
    • Rotate within departments and clinics for proper coverage as needed.
    • Assist Radiologist or other medical professionals in invasive and fluoroscopic procedures.
    • Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked, complying with Infection Control standards.
    • Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered.
    • Adapt patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs.
    • Protect the confidentiality of patients and do not disclose confidential information unless necessary for job duties.
    • Demonstrate adherence to the Core values of CHRISTUS Health Care.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
    • 1-3 years of experience in a hospital preferred.
    • Current registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
    • Current state licensure required.
    • BLS certification required.
