    Job Description:

    • Perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures
    • Provide support for other imaging technologists as needed
    • Assigned to work in a variety of locations
    • Troubleshoot basic maintenance, participate in QA, and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system

    Responsibilities:

    • Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
    • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including complex ones, using proper technique and giving appropriate procedural instructions to the patient
    • Evaluate patient for clinical contrast history and possible contraindications
    • Adhere to established section and organizational protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements
    • Interact appropriately with patients and all care providers by coordinating and prioritizing procedures to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity
    • Rotate within departments and clinics for proper coverage as needed
    • Assist Radiologist or other medical professionals in invasive and fluoroscopic procedures
    • Ensure exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked prior to exams and comply with Infection Control standards
    • Ensure all charges are correctly coded and entered
    • Adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate unique developmental needs
    • Perform duties protecting the confidentiality of patients without soliciting or disclosing confidential information unless necessary
    • Demonstrate adherence to the Core values of CHRISTUS Health Care
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required
    • 1-3 years of experience in a hospital preferred
    • Current registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required
    • Current state licensure required
    • BLS required
