    Job Description:

    • Performs advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using echo, ultrasound, and/or Doppler equipment.
    • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
    • Performs ultrasound examinations of the cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist the physician in the diagnosis of disorders affecting the circulation.
    • May perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression.
    • Records and maintains test data and prepares preliminary interpretations of test results and other duties as assigned.
    • Depending on the hospital department, may also perform routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and other vascular ultrasound procedures.
    • Assists physicians with biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization procedures.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program required.
    • 1-2 years experience in vascular ultrasound preferred.
    • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT is required.
    • BLS is required.
