    Job Description:

    • Evaluate patients and help them improve basic motor function and reasoning abilities.
    • Compensate for permanent loss of function by teaching patients to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments.
    • Assist patients in selecting appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices when necessary.

    Essential Functions:

    • Perform patient assessments and establish plans of care and treatment goals.
    • Assess the effectiveness of treatment and modify treatment when appropriate.
    • Prepare plans for discharge.
    • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team on patient needs, treatment modifications, and progress.
    • Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
    • Comply with appropriate and approved safety and Infection Control standards.

    Requirements:

    • Two years' direct patient occupational therapy care and treatment experience preferred.
    • Experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred; recent graduates are welcome to apply.
    • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in good standing is required.
    • Basic Life Support/CPR required.
