    Job Description

    • Evaluate patients and help them improve basic motor function and reasoning abilities.
    • Assist patients in selecting appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices when necessary.
    • Perform patient assessment and establish a plan of care and treatment goals, then assess the effectiveness of treatment and modify treatment when appropriate.
    • Prepare plans for discharge.
    • Coordinate with interdisciplinary team on patient needs, treatment modifications, and progress.
    • Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff.
    • Assess risks for safety and implement appropriate precautions.
    • Comply with appropriate and approved safety and infection control standards.
    • May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies.

    Requirements

    • Two years' direct patient occupational therapy care and treatment experience preferred.
    • Experience in rehabilitation hospital setting preferred; we welcome recent graduates to apply.
    • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in good standing is required.
    • Basic Life Support/CPR required.
