Job Description:
- Evaluate and treat patients in acute care, skilled nursing, short-term rehabilitation, and outpatient settings
- Provide and direct all aspects of quality patient care, including evaluation and treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education, and documentation according to organization guidelines, professional standards, and community needs
- Serve as a patient and rehabilitation advocate for current and prospective patients, and to all internal and external customers
- Actively participate in quality assurance and customer service activities for the rehabilitation department
- Assist in quality improvement and new programming initiative development
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary care team
- Oversee the services provided by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides
- Report to the Director of Rehabilitation Services
Requirements:
- Graduate of a program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- California license to practice Occupational Therapy REQUIRED
Experience:
- Experience with Occupational Therapy is PREFERRED
- Experience with Skilled Nursing is PREFERRED
