CBOC Medical Director

Job Description:

• Responsible for monitoring and improving the level of care within Clinovators CBOC Program while identifying opportunities to reduce operating costs.
• Provide input into clinical policies, supervise medical/provider staff, and participate in quality assurance activities.
• Oversee clinical safety and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide care as a clinician and leader.
• Define a vision of quality improvement and act as an operations consultant.
• Supervise medical practitioners providing direct patient care.
• Experience in reviewing and monitoring VA's SAIL Value Models/Metrics, implementing the PACT Model, and improving VA's CBOC Quality and Process improvement requirements.
• Collaborate with executive management to enhance patient care and improve medical practice.

Roles of CBOC Medical Director:

• Physician Leadership: Responsible for providers assigned to the CBOC, holding practitioners accountable for their performance and practice.

• Patient Care-Clinical Leadership: Applies clinical and administrative skills to guide care provision.

• Quality of Care: Develops and manages quality and safety initiatives, including risk management.

• Education, Information, and Communication: Provides information to help CBOC staff and practitioners understand company goals and initiatives related to operational and clinical requirements.
