    Home Health Speech Therapist

    Colorado Visiting Nurse Association has an immediate opening for a Home Health Speech Therapist in the Denver Metro Area. This full-time position requires a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with weekend and holiday requirements.

    Job Description

    • Responsible for performing professional and administrative work in directing a program involving diagnostic, rehabilitative, and research service in the treatment of speech, language, and voice disorders.
    • Provides initial and ongoing assessments to determine level of function, including OASIS assessments at appropriate time points.
    • Assesses and treats speech disorders, linguistic disorders, communication disorders, developmental delay, voice disorders, oral-motor functioning, auditory and visual perception, and cognition.
    • Procedures which may be required of the speech therapist include but are not limited to any combination of the following: receptive and expressive language, aural rehabilitation, oral motor function training, feeding therapy, speech/language stimulation, and teaching of articulation, respiration, and swallowing.
    • Advises and consults with the family, physician, and other agency personnel, including discharge planning.

    Requirements

    • Minimum Education: Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
    • Minimum Experience: One year of experience in speech and language pathology.
    • Required License: An active Colorado ST license. Current CPR certification based on individual affiliate requirements. Valid Colorado driver's license and proof of automobile insurance in accordance with state statute.
    • Ability to lift/push/pull a minimum of 35 lbs.
