CHI St. Alexius Health Devils Lake is actively recruiting an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well-established hospital in Devils Lake, ND. We are privileged to serve residents from our community as well as the surrounding communities due to seasonal tourism and recreational activities. We are proud to offer a full range of services including 24/7/365 emergency room and hospitalist program, testing, surgery, an outpatient primary care clinic, a care center, rehabilitation, and more. This position supports our busy ER-Hospitalist program.

Job Description

• Provide care to patients of all ages - children to geriatrics
• Emergency Room consults, triage, and medical care
• Round, admit, and manage health needs of patients with a significant range of complex and co-morbid disease conditions
• Manage all inpatient care and provide prompt attention to all patients admitted to the hospital, including diagnosis, treatment, and the performance of medical procedures (within your scope of practice)
• Collaborate and coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing, health care personnel, and care team members for patients in the hospital and ER
• Employ quality and process improvement practices to make the hospital a safer place and improve patient outcomes

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Masters or Doctorate program
• Emergency Room or Inpatient experience of 1 year or more, required
• Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine
• ACLS, PALS, and ATLS or CALS certified
• Qualification to successfully obtain an unrestricted North Dakota practice license and DEA
• Interested in a shift-based condensed work schedule
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing patient demographics and needs

$65.71 - $72.63 /hour
