Job Description

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams according to physician orders.
• Prepare, administer, and document procedures in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
• Deliver optimal patient care, remaining sensitive to patient needs through assessment and monitoring.
• Accurately receive, relay, and document all verbal, written, and electronic orders in the patients' medical records.
• Ensure exam information is correct, complete, and recorded, including supplies and any deviations from standard procedures.
• Demonstrate proficient use and knowledge of department equipment, positioning devices, patient care items, and monitoring devices.
• Provide an exceptional patient experience through effective patient care skills.
• Knowledge of abdominal, obstetrics and gynecology, and vascular exams.

Requirements

• Education: Associate degree in Radiology, or completion of a certification program in Radiography or Ultrasound (required).
• Current ARDMS Registered.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credentialing must be obtained within one year of employment.
